Hello my name is LadyMargarita,
I just wanted to introduce myself to you. I am a vendor...I sell garb and things of fae. I have been attending ren faires for about 12 or more years. It all began when I attended my first faire in Ohio as a patron and now I am a vendor. My whole family is involved in some form or another (although the kids are now in college and don't have quite as much time to spend on faires). My hubby is often seen with me singing and playing guitar. My daughter has been a fairy, a member of the court, and an archery wench. My son has been an elf and has spent the last 5 years squiring for Noble Cause when we are at the same faires (Missouri). Occassionally I put on my fairy tales show with puppets. I blame the renaissance faires for both of my children going into their chosen fields--theater (daughter and son) and digital film making (son only--ambitious doing a double major)!
I am currently a board member for the NW Arkansas Renaissance Faire representing the vendor side of things. So if anyone is interested in being apart of this faire, just let me know. We are looking for vendors and entertainment for 2010. We are also looking for volunteers to help out in any capacity.

Re: New to this board
Greetings M'lady. Is the new Arkansas ren faire the one Rob and Marla are building or is it another event? I'm currently out of commision as I can't leave the home I'm in right now but look to get back into faire soon. If you know of someone looking for a good herald let me know.

The NW Arkansas Renaissance Faire is not the same one as Rob and Marla. Our faire is trying to get off the ground. I am sure that we could use a good herald if you are interested. The faire is the first weekend in November in Fayetteville, AR. Let me know if you

With all due respect M'lady I don't expect I can make it to Arkansas anytime soon. Funds being what they are and the like and the economy sucking for the unemployed.

I do understand. Perhaps sometime in the future we will be able to cross each other.

Lords and Ladies, I must direct your attention to an oversight. "Marla," as you so unknowingly refer to her is no longer using that name. She is now Siobhan Raven Welch. She will also answer to "bhan/von."

Nice to meet you dear LadyMargarita, I am glad to see another has graced this board. Mayhaps it will once again be heavily active. Although that is what makes it more quaint. I am Lord Clisto, Duke of York. I pray you are well and preparing for faire once again. My journeys are also beginning anew. I pray our paths may cross to meet one day.
